Journey

Journey is a series of exercise equipment that puts a spin on the standard “gym” equipment commonly found at fitness corners. 

The idea was conceptualised when thinking about sedentary loneliness during the pandemic. The drop in outdoor activities and events shed light on the lack of public spaces and facilities that build social cohesion. 

Journey is intended to facilitate social interaction and collaboration between park users through pair work. The form and motion executed on the equipment is inspired by outdoor activities in nature, abseiling, trekking and rowing. By providing a space for people to workout together, Journey aims to foster community bonding and remove the stigma of social gathering.
